Happy New Years from Team Knight

2014 was a hard year for Team Knight which we ended with one great win to add to the start of a new developing plan of female boxing in the United States. Ava Knight beat challenger Guadalupe Martinez November 13 of 2014 and was able to attend the WBC Convention in December of 2014 as an honorable Champion.

2015 We have new goals to gain back attention to women in boxing in the united states and hoping that it comes sooner than later. We are back in the gym and waiting for the next call to capture more titles this year.

Thank you for all of my fans and supporters!

AVA KNIGHT IS BACK IN ACTION

Fight for Children’s 25th Anniversary of Fight Night

Fight Night was created 25 years ago by the late Joseph E. Robert, Jr., the founder of Fight For Children, as a way to generate resources to help low-income kids in the nation’s capital secure a brighter future. Since its inception it has grown in scale and impact.

Presented by Under Armour, this year’s event will feature premiere WBC World Championship boxing.

Carlos Cuadras, from Mexico, 30-0 (20 ko’s), WBC superflyweight champion of the world, will defend his championship against former world champion Sony Boy Jaro, from the Philippines 37-13-5 (27 ko’s).

In the semifinal, WBC Diamond champion Ava Knight, from the US, 12-2-3 (5 ko’s), will clash against Syndi Amador, from Mexico 12-1-1 (1 ko) for the WBC flyweight International belt.

Legendary boxers will be in attendance, including Julio Cesar Chavez, Roberto Duran, Mia St. John and many other to make this a memorable night of great championship fights and in support of a important cause.

The WBC is proud to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Fight Night and support Fight For Children’s efforts to make a positive impact on the lives of Washington DC youth.
